Global Excellence Awards - Best Varicose Veins treatment 2020
‘Best Varicose Veins Treatment – UK 2020’ by Global Health & Pharma Magazine?Varicose veins are simply defined as a mechanical disfunction of the veins, where the valves inside the veins are no longer working properly. It can be a genetically caused problem, other factors like the type of work, are just factors that might help in making the problem worse but they are not the cause.

Varicose Veins Treatment

The first and most important step in treating varicose veins is to do a very thorough and correct Doppler-Ultrasound scan. That scan, correctly performed, takes at least 40 minutes (not a 5 minute scan) as we have about 160 anatomical variations of the veins that can cause varicose veins per leg, including the “famous” Great and Small Saphenous veins, all the anatomical variations of the perforators (the communicators between the Deep Venous System and Superficial Venous System) and the pelvic veins. So again, a 5 or 10 minute Doppler-Ultrasound scan is never a good option and will not help identify all the underlying issues.

Endovenous Laser Ablation of the vein (EVLA)

Endovenous Laser Ablation of the vein (EVLA)  Based on the results of the detailed Doppler-Ultrasound scan  we tailor the best varicose vein treatment plan for each case apart. These treatment options vary from case to case and they include: High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU), Endovenous Microwave Ablation of the veins (EMWA), Endovenous Laser Ablation of the veins (EVLA), Transluminal Occlusion Of the Perforators (TRLOP), Micro-phlebectomies, Ultrasound-Guided Foam Sclerotherapy, and microsclerotherapy.
