The technology is the newest in varicose veins treatment field and is a NON-INVASIVE treatment that works by focusing the ultrasound energy at one point (the Focal Point) in the venous wall, doing so that ultrasound energy is absorbed by the water inside the cells composing the venous wall (the intracellular water), the water`s molecules start to vibrate changing transforming the ultrasound energy into heat energy that will lead to cellular death as well as contraction in collagen fibre in the venous wall which means that the vein is dead and closed and the body will absorb it in time. To deliver that energy we do not need to introduce any catheter in the vein and the amount of the needed local anaesthesia is way less than that needed when using laser or other endovenous procedures.
